A typical firestation flooring job (approximately 3,700 sq. ft.) requires 4 days to complete. Trucks can return the afternoon of the 5th day.

Three main variables affect the price of fire station flooring; project size (in sq. ft.), thickness of the floor being installed and the removal of existing paints, sealers or delaminating epoxy coatings necessary.

Start by asking yourself 3 questions;

• How long do you expect your new firestation flooring to last?
• Would you be completely satisfied if existing surface imperfections are visible AFTER the floor is completed?
• How much funding is available for the project?

We offer 3 primary flooring thicknesses; 65 mils or 1/16 of an inch, 125 mils or 1/8 of an inch and 250 mils or 1/4 of an inch. We also offer a 32 mil floor coating system primarily used for recoating existing epoxy floors.

Warranty length is dependent on the coating system installed.

• Floor Coating 3200 (32 mil flooring system) – 1 year
• Floor Epoxy 1600 (65 mil flooring system) – 3 year
• Concrete Epoxy 8000 (125 mil flooring system) – 5 year
• Floor Resurfacing 4000 (250 mil flooring system) – 10 year
• We also offer a life time moisture warranty on selected firestation flooring systems.

Engine Bay Floors never charges extra for traffic or “truck back up lines”, multiple colors up to four and floor joint treatment.

Constant wheel traffic in combination with dirt and debris can act like sandpaper dulling, scratching or even gouging the newly resurfaced floor. A sound program including proper daily use, routine cleaning and personal awareness will extend the life of the floor. Please refer to our general maintenance tips.

Bond ability of the existing epoxy floor is critical and needs to be verified. Floor Coating 3200 has been formulated exactly for renovating existing epoxy flooring.
